About WMOUG
The Western Michigan Oracle Users Group (WMOUG), founded in 2000, is an official chapter of the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) and is meant to service and network Oracle professionals in the Western Michigan area, including but not limited to, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Muskegon, and Battle Creek.
Our Mission
We are a group of people who gather to share experiences and knowledge about Oracle and its related products. We formally have meetings 2 times per year at various sites around Western Michigan. We primarily have participants from the Western Michigan area, but we do have attendees who trek all the way from Indiana, Eastern Michigan, and other areas of the Great Lakes.
Meeting topics revolve around Oracle Database Administration, Oracle Development, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Applications, Oracle Exa*, and other third party products relating to Oracle.
WMOUG provides speakers and presenters at every meeting. We encourage members to give presentations in their areas of expertise. Many times, we have speakers from outside the group that come to share tips on development or tuning. If you are a user of Oracle or would like to know more about Oracle, we encourage you to attend our next meeting.

Message from the President
Hello everyone!
Our goal at WMOUG is to promote networking and share experiences among Oracle professionals in the area. With the help of the other officers; Mike, Maggie, and Mark, we hope that we succeed in this little mission of ours.
We're a pretty casual group and though we have a lot of great ideas for the upcoming year and two, we would love to hear from you. We won't get everything right, but I can assure you that we'll do our best.
